I Matter Relationship Health Practice

Supporting the I Matter Relationship Health Learning Journey
Specialist Relationship Health Priorities consultations for future parents, parents, carers, young people and professionals

Relationship health matters!   Preparation can help relationships flourish.  Or, when relationships feel difficult, behaviour becomes challenging, or you are unsure what to do next, it can help to develop a clearer understanding of what is happening and where to focus first.

Some people choose to complement their I Matter Learning Journey with a personalised Priorities Consultation from an experienced practitioner. This is an optional extra.   A consultation can help you

✓ reduce overwhelm
✓ identify the priorities that matter most
✓ understand current relationship challenges
✓ develop practical next steps
✓ focus your learning on the areas most likely to make a difference

Meet Dr Cathy Betoin

Dr Cathy Betoin is a clinical psychologist and an experienced teacher.  She is the creator of the I Matter Framework and I Matter Relationship Health Learning Journey and, Founder and Director of I Matter Training Ltd and Relationship Health Matters CIC. She is also a HCPC Registered with over 30 years' experience...

Throughout her career Cathy has worked across health, education and community settings supporting children, families and professionals to understand behaviour, relationships and emotional wellbeing.

The I Matter Framework was developed to help people gain stronger foundation understanding and skills needed for relationship health. The Child & Family Practice provides an opportunity for individuals and families to receive personalised educational consultation that helps them apply the framework to their own circumstances.

In an I Matter Relationship Health Priorities Consultation we work together to:

✓ develop a clearer understanding of your current situation
✓ deepen your understanding of relationship health and an I Matter informed approach
✓ recognise strengths to build upon and areas needing priority attention
✓ develop your confidence in knowing what to do next
✓ identify the first priorities for learning and action

Our aim is always to help you become increasingly confident in understanding relationship health and its importance to wellbeing for all ages, for yourself.

From understanding to change: the I Matter Learning Journey

A consultation aims to help you gain more clarity.

The I Matter Learning Journey gives you the knowledge, skills and practical tools to build on that understanding over time

What makes this different?

I Matter is not offering a therapy or mental health treatment service and does not provide diagnosis or clinical treatment.  I Matter combines online learning with study support and priorities coaching. Many people find that consultation helps them gain much greater value from the online learning.    To build your confidence, a learning package can include:

  • structured priorities consultations
  • practical psychoeducation with guided reflection
  • consultations to support learning and application
  • progress review over time

Together these elements help parents, carers and professionals develop greater confidence in understanding behaviour, relationships and practical steps most likely to make a difference.
